As soon as possible: A ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a true emergency. Unfortunately, depending on the size of the rupture, it can take minutes for one's blood to spill out. When aaas rupture out of the hospital, sadly 50-70% do not survive (30-50% don't even make it to the hospital alive). It is in one's best interest to get to the hospital immediately for a chance at life saving surgical management.
