I had a laparoscopy salpingectomy and my right fallopian tube was removed during the surgery. after 2 months, i tried to conceive and the pregnancy test is negative. what shouldi do?

Left tube okay?: Check with your surgeon to see if your left tube is fine. Maybe you just need to keep trying - 2 months is not a long time to try.

Discuss with Gyn: Information needed is the reason your right tube was removed...Ectopic? Hydrosalpinx? Torsion? Your gyn should have information regarding the health of your remaining tube, we usually assess this during surgery (was chromotubation done?). If all normal, give it time. Confirm that you ovulate, check semen analysis, & if no success in 6 months-consider an hsg to assess your remaining tube. Take care.

That's ok : The question for your doctor is do they know if the other tube is working / functional . You may still achieve pregnancy with only one tube but it needs to be patent/ open. Ask why did they remove the tube in the first place . After surgery you may want to wait 3-6 months before trying to conceive. If you are an infertility patient them this timeline may change . Ask your doctor
