ELEVATION SHOULD: Help for comfort but also to take pressure off an inflammed, acutely blocked leg vein. Warm compresses also add comfort.

Elevation and heat: Blood clots in the leg usually feel better when elevated above the level of your heart. Warm packs may also make it feel better. Make sure your doctor is aware of this condition in case any medication for the blood clots is needed.
