Not your heart: Pain that changes with respiration is caused by the muscles of your chest wall or the pleura (lining of the lungs). If you have no fever or cough, you might wish to try a simple analgesic like ibuprofen, naproxen, or Aspirin (full strength) to see if you get relief till it subsides. Otherwise, it's best to see your family doctor.
