Not if it's scabies.: "scabies" is a term for pediculosis, a skin infestation of tiny insects. It usually respond to Permethrin but it may take more than one treatment. If it is eosinophilic fasciitis, then it is a white blood cell problem and should respond to prednisone. Prednisone can make the skin thinner and more difficult to heal ulcers that occur or skin tears that occur.
