A member asked:

My tonsils are swollen and there is a pale green/white mucus lining my tonsils and the back of my throat, what has caused this?

Bacteria: I would consider a visit to your primary md. This sounds like bacterial tonsillitis, you should be checked for strep.

Virus or strep?: Viruses can also cause a white exudate, therefore it's important to get a throat culture.
