Is it normal if the hole for tooth extraction closes over in a couple days?

Possibly : After extraction the socket fills with blood that forms a clot. Soon small blood vessels grow into the clot and the surface epithelial cells close over the socket. If there was bone loss with pocketing around the tooth, the tissue may fall together and appear closed over, after only a couple of days.

It can be: I can not see where this would be a problem, but you can always see the dentist for a post op visit.
