How are long term safety risks of dental products tested?

Dental products: Dental products undergo stringent testing in order to merit the american dental association seal of approval so if any question, simply look for the ada seal of approval.

FDA: The fda must approve products and they do so the same as they test any product that is used for the human body. The ada also tests products at rtheir own laboratory in chicago and gives its seal of approval to products. If yuou are referring to amalgam all studies indicate safety over at least 100 years of use as a filling material. No study has evert proven amalgan is unsafe as for fillings.

They're not: Many dental products receive little testing until they are used on patients. A few years ago, an alternative to amalgam was released. When it was in a patient's tooth, the material expanded and fractured a number of teeth prior to it being removed from the market.

No, No: All dental products must be approved before use on a patient. A dentist is in violation of all codes if he uses any product that is not approved for use on and in the mouth of humans. We do not experiment or perform tests on our patients. I disagree with the answer given.
