It is the age group: The most common symptom is feeling a mass in one of the testicles. If you do, then go see your doctor for evaluation. Do not be embarrassed by this. Rarely discomfort can be a symptom. There are other symptoms but this the one that occurs most. Hope this helps.

Usually no symptoms: There are usually no symptoms with testicular cancer. Pain and discomfort may be a presenting symptom. An 18 year old has a higher risk of testicular cancer than older patients. Testicular cancer usually presents between 16 and 35 years of age. Any testicular masses should be immediately evaluated.

Fortunately uncommon: Most important presenting symptom is a hard, usually painless, mass in or on testicle. Often associated with a hydrocele ( fluid collection around testicle) which can be tense or softish but isn't hard. Hence need to have all hydroceles, in adults, as well as all testicular masses evaluated by ultrasound. Occasionally presents with acute pain, if there is a hemorrhage in tumor or testis.
