Trauma: Also pulling hair out, drugs, genetics, infection, dry membranes, picking nose and injury. Interesting: people with polyps are more prone to Aspirin allergies.

Many causes: Polyps are usually inflammatory from myriad causes including allergy or other inflammatory conditions. Nasal polyps can definitely affect quality of life. Chronic sinusitis from polyps not only affect breathing but also may result in sleep disturbance, fatigue, and poor sense of smell. Polyps are definitely treatable so please see an ENT.
