Not a good idea: He should be restricted from intense competitive sports to reduce the risk for sudden cardiac death. The trampoline is a fairly strenuous workout. His cardiologist will make specific recommendations based upon his particular clinical findings.

Children and adolescents with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy have a significant, important risk of sudden death with exercise. Activity levels and limits should be carefully explored with your son's pediatric cardiologists.
