Function: Legal blindness relates to the best corrected vision after an eyeglass prescription is determined. You cannot look at the numbers on your eyeglass prescription to determine this. If the best you can do on an eye chart, with the best eyeglass correction, is 20/200, that is legal blindness in most states in the usa.

No such thing: The determination of being consider legally blind is made after you have the best prescription or visual aide. Not based on the prescription its self.

See below. : A person is considered to be legally blind if he or she has a best corrected vision of 20/200 in their best seeing eye. If an individual has a visual field of 20 degrees or (tunnel vision) they may also be considered legally blind.
