See Cosmetic Dentist: After having done teeth whitening since 1989, I have seen many things work and not work. I have seen patients get fantastic results. I have seen patients come in from other offices, frustrated they are not getting white. The key is to match the right type of teeth whitening to your teeth and your personality. Spend a few minutes discussing this and then you will get a fast, white result.

Avoidance : First of all avoid things that could stain your teeth. Then go find a dentist that can verify if your teeth are naturally dark or if they are indeed stained. If they are then you may be able to bleach the stains away. Here's a trick: try drying out your teeth. It'll give you a temporary white look.

Whitening Tips: A good tooth whitening result depends on the product used, its shelf-life, and how it is applied. Whitening gels must be kept refrigerated at all times, otherwise it will become less effective. When it is applied onto tooth structure, one must prevent saliva from dissolving away the whitening gel. Custom trays will prevent this from happening; otherwise, consider 1hr treatments with your dentist.

Consistency: No matter what system is used, whitening your teeth often and consistently will get your best result. A Fluoride rinse would help you too.
