IVF or surgery: Ivf is the best treatment for blocked fallopian tubes. It has the highest chance of producing a pregnancy and very little risk. However, surgery can be considered to try to unblock the tubes. Because ivf is so successful, surgery has become much less popular as a treatment.

Tubal blockage: Sometimes a simple test called a "hysterosalpingogram", or HSG for short, can open closed tubes by injecting sterile liquid via the cervix. If this has been done already, and the tubes are blocked, there are some surgical remedies. Without surgery, after an HSG which shows firmly blocked tubes, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the best way to achieve pregnancy.
