Depends how bad: If there is no fracture or ruptured disk or infection, you could get assistance by using pain meds or muscle relaxants from your doctor. An osteopathic physician may be a great choice overall, a chiropractor perhaps, a physical therapist, a massage therapist? Acupuncture may be helpful. Surgeon only if things are worsening and losing strength and bladder function.
