Yes: Any injury that you sustain in your body will have scar tissue. This tissue has diminished ability to maintain normal internal balance (homeostasis). Therefore even minor fluctulations in your body chemistry can cause discomfort. Even changes in barometric pressure can lead to subtle acid-base imbalances in pathological tissue and hence pain.
