Multiple eggs: The gonadotropins are relatively free of symptomatic side effects, the most being ovarian enlargement from follicle growth. This can lead to feelings of fullness and bloating. There is also a chance of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and multiple pregnancy.

Pergonal (menotropins) not avail: Substitutes for pergonal today are repronex; menopur; gonal f (follitropin alfa) and follistim;side effects : multiple births; ovarian hyperstimulation which can be a serious enlargement of ovaries and if delayed treatment can result in kidney damage, blood clots etcsome debate about risk of breast or ovarian cancer but they are very good medications to use if you need them.
