Why?: If your child is growing well, plots on growth chart, there is nothing to be concerned about. If your child is not, then you can discuss ways to increase calories, or the possible need for an evaluation, with the child's doctor, not the appetite.

There is...: ....A difference, i often find, between eating enough to be healthy and grow appropriately, and eating enough to make parents/grandparents/caretakers/etc. Happy. If your baby is growing normally , the appetite does not need to be boosted. I often advise parents to worry more about the quality of the food than the quantity.
