Not really: Urinary stricture of your ureter or urethra is usually from prior infection. Ask your urologist.

No: Once you have had kidney stones it does raise your risk but that does not mean that you you will get them again. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated can help prevent kidney stones.

A 21-year-old member asked:

Is there a connection between bubble baths and urinary tract infections (utis)?

Dr. James Ferguson

Yes: Bubble baths/scented shampoos/ dirty bath water all have been linked to uti's in females from toddlers to adults. These agents can trigger irritation directly or leave a soapy film on female genitals. If not well rinsed, it may remain & trigger itching/redness/drainage. Bacteria may accompany the irritation & make the short trip to the bladder. I rarely see it in males, different parts.

What might cause green coloration on my vagina when using nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel)?

Vaginal discharge: Sometimes vaginal discharge has a green hue to it. Typically it's not a sign of infection so long as you don't have any itching or foul smell associated with it. Regardless, however, if you're concerned you may want to see a physician and get checked out for any possible infection, including possible stds. I haven't heard of birth control causing a change in the skin color of the vagina.

Swelling of pelvic area in male 91 no pain?

Dr. Vance Harris

See your Dr.: Hard to give a specific answer as the pelvic area is actually fairly large with a number of possibilities that may cause swelling. I would recommend seeing your dr. And having a good exam. Impossible to give you a good answer in this kind of forum. Good luck.
