White patch: A red or white or red patch on the lips, inside cheeks, gums or tongue that does not go away could be an early sign of oral cancer. A non-healing ulcer is another sign. Don't wait for something to be painful. If you notice anything unusual (like the white patch in the picture), see your dentist or your doctor!
