If the patient has a lazy eye what are the procedures to check for double vision?

Two images obvious?: Double vision occurs when someone who didn't previously, acquires a condition or injury resulting in two images (diplopia). The images can overlap, be stacked or be side by side. Closing one eye blocks one image. Lazy eye usually indicates a long term problem where the two eyes do not provide single, simultaneous vision. If from childhood, the weaker eye's image is often suppressed and not seen.
