One week : In general it takes one to two days for the swelling from the trauma from the extraction but if the wisdom tooth was slightly inflamed before the exit. It can take a week to go down with antibiotics taken from the first day if swelling persists after a week it might be a good idea to visit your dentist for further treatment options.
