I have nasal septum surgery tommorow, what happens during surgery?

Septoplasty: Septoplasty procedures differ for each patient, based on the problems and the anatomy. However, there are a few general concepts. The thin membranes covering the septum are raised off of cartilage and bone. Some of the cartilage is presenved for support, while other areas of crooked bone and cartilage are removed. The membranes are then sewn back in place.

Deviated septum: A deviated septum is a common issue. It can be corrected through septoplasty and brought back to the midline by techniques to remove deviated cartilage. If there are symptoms like nasal obstruction, snoring or recurrent sinusitis, have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.
