Clear mucous: During the time of ovulation, the cervical mucous changes nature in order to allow sperm entry into the uterine cavity. The cervical mucous becomes thin, clear and stretchy.

Clear egg white: Ovulation discharge is clear and copious cervical mucous that looks like raw egg white. It can be stretched to a length of 3-5 inches, and lasts for a day or two in natural cycles. When using fertility drugs or ivf, mucous lasts several days.
