I have had a lap appendectomy and it is oozing and i can see fatty tissue. with a slight touch on the side it spreads. is it normal and what do i do?

See your surgeon: It sounds as if your wound has opened up. Call your surgeons office (hospital surgeons still have outpatient clinics as well typically) to be re-examined. They will usually fit you in right away, but this must be seen asap (ie call first thing in am tommorow).

Call your doctor: Most appendectomy incisions are closed at the end of surgery. It sounds like yours may have opened, which is not usual. Check with your surgeon to make sure this is expected in to make sure it doesn't indicate an early wound infection.
