i've had high triglycerides since childhood and take lopid (gemfibrozil). i have reoccuring pain on each side of my neck at times. could this indicate a blockage?

No!: Although high triglycerides is a risk factor for women for CAD it should't cause bilateral neck pain . Consult your md!

Carotid occlusion: The cause of your pain remains uncertain. You have lipid abnormalities which does predispose to atherosclerosis. I cannot ascertain if you have disease but can assure you pain is not a associated symptom. The best study to ascertain disease in carotids is a carotid ultrasound.
