Antibuse: Although there should be no true residue in food cooked with alchohol as alchohol volatizes in the cooking process. I have also had cases where the smell of alchohol can create nausea with antibuse. I just simply would not tempt fate at the risk of getting sick. Your husband is also over coming a serious addiction again i would not expose a loved one and risk illness or failure.

Yes: Usually when alcohol used to cook, if prepared correctly the alcohol evaporates in a cooking process, so it should be safe for him if food was cooked for prolong time.

Not likely: However, I am assuming he is in early recovery if he is on antibuse, addiction is a very powerful disease and it loves to trick people and it can be so subtle. "that food tasted great, really good, i did not get sick, when are we going to have it again, i loved the flavor, maybe a little more beer this next time". Thats the addiction talking.

Not Really: Even if your husband did not get ill from the beer cooked food, why would you want to continue to place alcohol in his life? It would be a temptation that he might succumb to. If you want your husband to quit drinking alcohol, then prepare him food that is healthy, tasty and free of any alcohol. Giving him food cooked in beer is like giving sugar candy to a diabetic! it's just wrong!

Possibly: The alcohol would have boiled off if you are using it as a base for cooking. However, the taste may be a trigger for you and lead you in a direction you may not want to go.
