Cervicitis: Lyou may need cultures or other tests depending on what infection about which you are worried.Cervicitis can be caused by a variety of organisms. Only a few of the types organisms that can cause it are detectable with a wet prep. A pap smear is a test for cervical cancer or precancerous lesions.
