A member asked:

Can you donate an organ if you are still alive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: This has been done but requires stringent ethical supervision. Many twins have done this and a few have donated a portion of their liver or a kidney under these tight controls. You can be a bone marrow donor with minimal risk and only ordinary permissions.
