No: No nonsurgical technique equates surgery results, but they can improve appearance.

Not really.: You may hear about "liquid facelifts" which involve injections, but the results are temporary and are not nearly as effective as the true surgical technique.

Kinda sorta: Non surgical facelifts include injections of neurotoxins, fillers, and use of combination of laser and skin tightening devices such as ultherapy. The concept of volumizing and contouring with neurotox and fillers and them tightening and lifting with ultherapy and laser resurfacing can provide a "lift" affect. Keep in mind it is not a facelift and can be just as expensive. But its an option!

Depends on goals: If the goal is to lift sagging skin and tissue of the cheeks, jawline, and neck, the best way is a surgical facelift/necklift. If the sagging is not bad, or barely noticeable to anyone, then non-surgical skin tightening machines may be able to deliver on the subtle improvement (which may be all they want.) with visible sagging, non-surgical tightening may not give enough improvement for the cost.

No: Surgery is surgery, with all the benefits that come with it and the recovery required. It remains the best method for rejuvenating sagging mid and lower facial skin. That said, "non-surgical facelifts" with botox, fillers, lasers, ultrasound or radiofrequency devices can certainly rejuvenate the face in well trained hands, but not to the degree a facelift can.

Not really: A facelift is surgery, necessarily. However, your goals may not mean you need a facelift. Talk to your plastic surgeon about exactly what bothers you. If you're unsure of the recommendations, get a second opinion. Never expect facelift results from any nonsurgical treatment, though.

No: If the skin is broken with an incision or needle it is considered surgery.

Face Lift Surgery: Facelifts require surgery. Do not be fooled by "liquid" or other non surgical procedures. Lasers, peels, and fillers can improve a facelift but not replace it.

No: There is no non-operative treatment that duplicates the result of a facelift.

No: A facelift literally re-positions the tissues of the cheek, after detaching the skin and smas from their deeper connections. There is currently no other non-surgical method that duplicates this. Ulthera may heat-shrink some of the tissue - but that's a different thing altogether.

No.: Surgery is required to tighten the layers underneath the skin (smas) and also remove the excess skin. There is currently no non-surgical alternative.

Facelift: No alternative procedure can achieve what surgery does. Your best bet would be to have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
