What are the big differences in the rehabilitation of acl reconstruction ?

Depends: Physical therapy for ACL post-op patients is somewhat standard; the difference is the physical therapist and his/her likes/dislikes regarding exercise choices; and your overall medical history.

Graft/other path: Rehab following ACL reconstruction is typically dictated by the type of graft used and any injuries to other ligaments, menisci, or articular cartilage; when they require repair/reconstruction, associated injuries to these other structures often slow down the early postop rehab. Autografts typically return sooner to high demand sports. Your surgeon should have a detailed postop rehab/pt protocol.
