Good question!: I wasn't sure, but i found this: http://www.Growthhouse.Org/palliative/ there is also a national association for homecare and hospice; they may have more useful information. It's a great question, and a much-needed service!

It could vary: Palliative care is provided for somebody who has a life-threatening disease for which there is no cure and that may cause death but it is not clear when. Palliative care could be provided in a hospital, home or long-term care setting.
