Yes: Medications to treat the inflammation associated with pain such as anti-inflammatory medicines know as nsaids are used. Narcotics are not typically prescribed for tendinopathies.

Tendonitis: Pain medication may be prescribed for this. It all depends on the examination. One could also use topicals, tens, cold laser , pt etc..
