Weakness : If everything heals well and you do not have any pin track infections or sloughing of the skin, then once the fixator is removed, the pin tracks will heal rather rapidly, about 5-10 days. Just like any other surgical procedure and subsequent immobilization the muscle of your legs and foot will be atrophied and weakened. 4-6 weeks of physical therapy should help with this.
