Don't overbreathe: Normal breathing is relaxed and not too fast. Overbreathing or hyperventilation syndrome may cause chest pains or tenderness, shortness of breath, or wheezing. Meditative breathing (e.g., herbert benson's "relaxation response") is helpful.
