Yes.: A dermatologist is a good choice. The most common causes of an armpit lump are an epidermal cyst (which the dermatologist will be able to remove for you, if you wish) and a lymph node (which could indicate a localized infection or, in rarer cases, something more serious). It could also be an ingrown hair or a cutaneous tumor of some sort. A dermatologist will be able to sort this out for you.

Yes: Could be a cyst but there are tumors (benign and malignant), (lymphoma or breast cancer or metastatic cancer) that can present this way. Start with a dermatologist and then may need to see another specialist.
