Is it normal not to feel my baby move by the 19th week?

Yes: Most women have felt their baby move by the 19th week but some women don't feel their baby move until about 20 weeks. This is especially true for first time moms and women whose placentas are attached to the front wall of their uterus rather than the back wall. Think of it like a little pillow between you and the baby, it takes a little longer to feel the baby move through the extra padding.

Yes: Yes. At first the kicks you notice will be few and far between. In fact, you may feel several movements one day and then none the next. Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those reassuring kicks will become stronger and more regular.
