Nabumetone: First, you are on the lower dose. For most types of arthritis, I use two 750 mg tablets. Perception is a problem! Nabumetone is a pro-drug, inactive when swallowed, and then finally metabolized by the liver into an active drug. Since this takes time, poor drug for a headache. But when taken regularly, great drug for chronic pain. It cannot work as fast as most nsaids.
