Common: Raynaud’s phenomenon is a common disorder. Estimates of prevalence range anywhere from 5% to 20% of women in the United States. Many have primary Raynaud’s disease which is simply that, Raynaud’s disease by itself. With scleroderma, most patients have Raynaud’s, but with the reverse is not true. Scleroderma is relatively rare whereas Raynaud’s is common.
