Started with fever, body pain, chills. they went away in 2 days but severe throat pain continues. antibiotics for 7 days but no help. what should i do?

See your doctor: Sounds as if your doctor prescribed antibiotics without testing to see if they were neeeded. You should follow up with him and have some tests done (such as a cbc, ebv titers) to properly diagnose the problem. A throat culture will not be useful, as you have been on antibiotics and a strep throat should have improved your sore throat within a few days.
