Yes: Nipple inversion occurs in about 5% of women. In most patients the nipple inversion is corrected with a breast augmentation. When the implant is placed over the muscle the correction is more than if the implant is placed under the muscle. The benefits of placing the implant under the muscle are greater than over the muscle, so more has to be done to correct the nipple inversion.
