Could a decaying tooth lead to deafness if untreated ?

Probably not but...: A bad tooth won't usually lead to deafness but it can cause pain in the area of the ear and if you have a bad infection there could be some serious consequenses. If you know the tooth is bad...Why not just get it removed and not worry about deafness or other possible problems leaving the little bugger in.

In rare cases...: I have never seen this happen; however, i cannot say this is impossible. I suppose that any tooth left untreated may cause a multitude of other problems. Early treatment is always best.
