What are advantages of refractive surgery prk?

No flap: The advantages of prk over lasik are that it can be performed on thinner corneas as there is no flap to be cut. This also removes some possible complications. The down side is longer visual recovery and some post-operative pain. Consult a refractive specialist in order to see which procedure is best for you.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.

No epithelial ingrowth, no striae(wrinkles), ectasia less likely
