Check your gums: Bloody saliva most likely comes from gingivitis. Gingivitis is caused by bacteria around the gum tissues, resulting in red puffy gum tissue that bleeds easily. When you notice blood in the saliva, if there are no other signs of cuts in your mouth, it is usually due to gingivitis.

Gum disease?: Of course there is a source of the blood. This most likely is caused by gum disease or periodontal disease. If a tooth is loose some blood may form as well. Other rarer problems may contribute. I would see your dentist to find out what is causing this. Treatment is needed. This is not healthy.
