Sounds like PHN: Sounds like post herpetic neuralgia. Did u have lesions before these symptoms started. Sometimes he rash of shingles are less noticeable. Have your pcp check it out. If it is shingles the question is why you had an outbreak. It's common in th e, dearly who have compromised immune systems. But if you're young- other causes of immune suppression need to be investigated. Stress can also trigger it.

Itching: It is possible you have herpes zoster or shingles. Many times you may get the symptoms before the actual rash appears. See your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
