See below: 1. Sudden weight gain change in metabloism, , lack of good sleep, stress, hormonal dysfunction etc need to be considered. 2.Prescribed drugs over last 4-5 yrs and look for drug side effects. Common groups would be have relation of weight gain would be antidepressants, steroids , pain mangement etc. 3. Simlilar weight gain we noted with Cymbalta & Lyrica (pregabalin) in our practice. See your doc.

Scoliosis: Sounds like you are going through alot right now. The question is whether you have a condition that is causally related to you symptoms or if some of your symptoms are related to treatments you may be receiving. Complicated case by your brief report. I practice fairly close to where you live if we can be of any assistance.

Primary; specialist: Start with your primary care physician to make sure that you do not have a systemic condition (i.e. Hypothyroidism) that could be causing symptoms. Scoliosis is not painful by itself. Exercise is the best way to prevent progression of scoliolosis and to manage pain from arthritis/fibro. After you see your primary, see a physiatrist who can make recommendations re: your rehabiliation course.
