How long does it take on average for someone to recover from a knee surgery?

Depends: Recovery times differ depending on the surgical procedure performed and also on the individual. We do recommend getting into your therapy program immediately following your surgery to minimize your swelling, keep the tissues mobile and start strengthening as appropriate to give you the best outcome from your surgery.

It depends: Most young folks who have a knee scope can recover between 1 week and 6 weeks. If you have more chondromalacia or cartilage wear this can lead to more inflammation after surgery.
