Talk to your doc!: Check in w/your ophthalmologist and optometrist. There are many docs who specialize in low vision rehabilitation. They will have some solutions specific for you. They can also help you make it less likely to lose any more vision.

No harm in trying: While video-gamer glasses will not harm your eyes, applications for low vision have been limited due to the bulk, weight and induced blockage of the visual field. Sitting close to a large screen video monitor with spectacle correction for your working distance is a convenient (and wireless) approach to create a large print working environment. A low-vision rehabilitation specialist can demonstrate.
