Anxiety/sedation: Other alternatives can include sedating ssri's such as paxil, (paroxetine) or antihistamines such as vistaril, both at night. Discuss with your primary care doc.

Other options: Include gabapentin, hydroxyzine, quetiapine, etc. It all depends on your clinical situation.

No short answer: This is not easily answered in this setting. I would strongly recommend consultation with a psychiatrist...The medications you mentioned are anti-depressants with some sedating features...Medications are not the only modality for treatment for this condition. Treatment depends on a good examination as well as a good history. You need to know that you are treating the right condition/disease first.

Buspar (buspirone) is another: Buspar (buspirone) is a non-addictive anti-anxiety medication. Studies have also shown that approximately 70% of individuals taking anti-anxiety medications can learn to manage anxiety without medication with a course of focused cognitive-behavioral treatments by a psychologist.

Agree with Drali: Buspirone is a non sedating, non benzodiazepine anti-anxiety agent. It works well, but best for benzodiazepine naive patients. It takes time to work, and most people don't want something that doesn't work immediately and that doesn't give them that "cocktail effect".
