Uris Acid Levels: For a female, normal levels run from 2.3 to 6.6 mg/dl. You are in the upper normal range. If your levels are higher than prior studies, it may be due to many factors, including diet high in purines or fructose and table sugar, or rapid weight loss. If still concerned, recheck your levels in 3-6 months if you are otherwise healthy.

That is really good: The normal level is up to around 8 and the goal of treatment is to bring it down to below 6. Either way, your 5.9 is good. If you still have joint problems, reconsult doc for eval and treatment because your uric acid level is excellent. Good luck.
